Privacy Policy

NurseScribe is designed to help nurses create and edit notes on iPhone using on-device dictation and QR-based export. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and how you can contact us.

1. Information handled by the app

NurseScribe may handle the following categories of information while you use the app:

• Note content that you create or edit in the app
• Voice input used for dictation
• App settings and locally saved user preferences
• Information you choose to send us by email when requesting support or contacting us about business matters

2. On-device dictation

NurseScribe is designed to use on-device speech recognition for dictation. The app is intended to avoid sending dictated note content to cloud transcription services as part of the normal dictation workflow.

3. Local storage

Notes and related app data are designed to be stored locally on the device. NurseScribe is intended for a short-retention workflow, including temporary local note storage for up to approximately 12 hours unless you delete content sooner or app behavior changes in a future version.

4. QR export

When you choose to export a note, NurseScribe can display that note as a QR code for scanning into another system. Once note content is transferred into an external application, document editor, workstation, or medical record system, that external system’s privacy and security practices apply.

5. Support emails

If you contact us, we may receive the information you include in your email, such as your email address, device details, and the contents of your message. We use that information only to respond to your request, provide support, or address business inquiries.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your dictated note content for advertising. We do not intend to share note content with third-party cloud transcription providers as part of the app’s normal on-device dictation workflow.

7. Data security

We aim to keep the app’s workflow privacy-focused and to minimize unnecessary data transfer. However, no device, software, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure in every circumstance. Users are responsible for using the app in accordance with their employer’s policies, applicable law, and their own professional obligations.

8. Children’s privacy

NurseScribe is not directed to children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
